The only school on Robben Island. Student population is 18 students, 2 teachers. 200 people populate the island.
The famous cave and the limestone quarry on Robben Island. Mandela spent 8-10 hours a day here, for most of the 17 years he was imprisoned. This cave was for the prisoners to relieve themselves, get out of the son, and plan for government change when they were released. The pile of stones in the foreground were recently deposited there during a reunion of former prisoners, Mandela placed the first stone and the others followed.
